Bootin' and Scootin'

This look was inspired by what I wore in a Forever 21 photoshoot. I think I styled it better this time around. These boots are my new favorite item and you will see them several more times this year. I wear cowboys all year long. I added a different color hat than the shoot. That's enough rambling. Here it goes.
The Inspiration

Did I do it better this time around?
What I Wore:
Checkered Shirt-Thrifted
Gap Jean Vest-Thrifted( it was a jacket that I cut the sleeves off)
High-Lo Skirt-F21
Western Booties-F21
As always, thanks for stopping by.

It's a Wrap!

Disclaimer: Imma be a little blunt on this post!

I absolutely adore wrap dresses. I especially love wrap dresses from Diane von Furstenberg or DVF, the originator of this style of dress. They are bright, colorful, and often printed. They are normally "forgiving"; they cover up or distract problem areas of the body. In other words; if your body is jacked up, such as lumps or bumps, this dress is the "most flattering" for you. This dress minimizes big butts, hips, breasts and arms. This dress looks great on a curvy woman as well.

However, a DVF original wrap dress can start around $250.00 plus. I found this similar style dress at a store in Phoenix called XI clothing. It was only $18. These dresses are everywhere.

What I Wore:
Leather Jacket- H&M
Wrap Dress-XI Clothing (Phoenix area)
Pumps- Rack Room Shoes

Hint of Snake

Hello.  It's been a week since I've posted my last posts. Been really busy. Now, I'm back in action. I haven't quite figured out how much or when I am going to post. As of now, it's random, but I will do updates via Facebook. So, if you haven't already liked my page, just follow the link on the right. I really appreciate the love and support from my friends and family last week. Let's keep that momentum going.
On to the outfit. Not too much to say about it. I don't quite know how I feel about burgundy or "oxblood" in the spring, so I wanted to go ahead and wear it one last time. Between the thrifted pieces and items being on sale; this outfit was stupid cheap.
Disclaimer: This blazer is appearing plum, when it is actually wine/burgundy. Also, I ironed this blazer, but it doesn't appear that I did. Note to self: Just take cotton blazers to the dry cleaners.

P.S. Did anyone get any thrifting in on President's Day? It was half off many places.
What I Wore:
Blazer- Thrifted
Chiffon Top- BX (base exchange; limited access) $1
Belt-Wet Seal $.50
Denim look pants-New York and Company
Shoes-Isaac Mizrahi for Target (Thrifted)
Earrings and Rings-F21

Happy Valentine's Day

This will be short and sweet. This is my look tonight. Hope your enjoy evening.
Thanks for stopping by.

What I Wore:
Dress- F21
Clutch-Target (thrifted)
Earrings and Bracelet-F21

"All Pewter Everythang"

I gotta stop looking like a deer caught in the headlights.
Okay, my mom absolutely despised these pants when I picked them up at store called Rose's in my hometown of Newport News, VA. I told her they had potential. As you will find out, I am a sucker for prints. Especially, ugly ones. This print is definitely muted from what I normally choose. I had to have them.
What I Wore:
Blazer-Jones New York (thrifted)
Crop Top-F21
High-waisted Pants-Rose's
Pumps- Payless (old)
Bow Ring-F21
Earrings and Necklace-Icing

Polka Dots and Stripes

If you don't know, now you know black and white is on trend. In the magazines, more dressy black and white outfits are on the runways. Gotta be practical. This is my casual take on this trend. I ran errands with the kids in this outfit.
What I Wore:
Polka Dot Shirt-Thrifted
Striped Cardigan-H&M
Collar Necklace-F21
Smoking Loafers-Sheikh Shoes (in-store)

Rolling Stones

Okay, I just went from an Easter egg to wearing J's. Random, right? As long as it is cute, I will attempt to pull it off. Before the stillettos there were Jordans. Quick Story: There was a time where the Rolling Stones tee was in Wal-Mart, as well as ACDC and others for $7. Like an idiot, I didn't buy it. Three years later I stumbled across this tee in Forever 21($18) and Hot Topic($25) same day. I bought the F21 shirt cuter and cheaper.

Disclaimer: You will see this bracelet over and over again. Hey, it's my favorite.
I bought silver and goldtone.

Side Story: This clutch is Kirna Zabete from Target. Ever so often Target does designer collabs. I had been eyeing this clutch for a while. Then one day I stroll into my favorite, Salvation Army, and there it was sitting marked $10. The saleswoman then announced that all handbags were half off. Designer clutch $5. Score! What I also, found out was that our Salvation Army buys Target's overstock. There are items still on Target's shelves and in Salvation Army. I am in Anchorage, AK, but check out ur local Salvation Army to see if they do the same.

What I Wore:
Moto Jacket- Thrifted
Rolling Stones Tee- F21
Jordan Bred 11-Footlocker
Love Bracelet- F21
Clutch-Kirna Zabete via Target (thrifted)

Easter Egg

Hello! I know we are still in February, but every magazine has moved on to the spring pastels. Well, it's still cold, so I am not wearing straight chiffon yet. So, this is my interpretation until the weather changes. Also, I was so excited about this sweater, it is vintage (80's) and I paid $2.50 from Salvation Army. Score!!!

This necklace has a"H" in the middle of a circle. Quick Story: It's thrifted.
You might ask what does the "H" stand for? My late grandmother's name was Hermenia. She loved jewelry with a
monogram, so when I saw it I had to have it. It's my small memory of her. Love you grandma.

What I Wore:

Shorts in the Winter

Hello, thanks for stopping by! Also, happy Valentine's Day! Today I will have uploaded 5 looks all across the board. Sorry, I've been slacking. No one told me blogging was tough. Anyways, I'm ready to jump in. Hope you enjoy.

Okay, I have to admit that I was super hesitant to wear shorts in the winter.
I did chose to wear these around 35 to 40 degrees and I was fine. My
tights were thick though. I wore this out shopping with the family.

I love these earrings, but they are ceramic. I dropped them on my tile floor and
one earring chipped. Can we say super glue touch-up?

Hey, I'm new at this, excuse the "poor" posing.
Stay tuned more to come.

What I Wore:
Leather Blazer-H&M
Lace Top (back of the shirt not shown)-F21
Corduroy Shorts-F21
Combat Boots-Payless
